Michelle Banarsé has come a long way since she attended the Chelsea School of Art and Central Saint Martins School of Art. Her ability to combine delicate silks, cottons and cashmere with classic chic leathers, led Michelle to her first collection catching the attention of Armani, who became her very first customer.
The word spread and Michelle was soon producing collections for the likes of Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Browns and Paul Smith.
Michelle started designing and styling a diverse mix of artists, musicians, actors including, Emma Watson, Madonna, Mariah Carey, D’Angelo, Jennifer Lopez, Robbie Williams, Des’ree, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Janet Jackson, George Michael, Vanessa Mae, Carleen Anderson, Jocelyn Brown, the Gallagher Brothers and Jazzie B to mention but a few.
She was one of the original designers for Jazzie B’s soul ll soul in the 80’s and created the now iconic soul ll soul leather jacket that was exhibited in the hugely successful show GetUpStandUp at Somerset house London 2019
After many years of a successful career working in London and New York, In 2006 Michelle moved and settled in GOA India. She worked with Tarun Tahiliani as a stylist and consultant and began designing for the luxury brand Pashma in 2009 and helped expand it to the global brand it is today.
Luxlounge was created in 2012 combining sensual delicate silks, cottons and cashmere, designing and working with some of the best international factories and traditional local crafts people around the globe. ’My collections capture my clear vision for the future.
